Where is the best place to go???

on my and my boyfriends anniversery we live in galway but can only go somewhere in ireland. any suggestions

  1. Go to Portrush or Achill Island if you're looking for somewhere quiet with beautiful scenery...but go to Dublin if you are after a more exciting time..


  2. Try Cong, Co. Mayo for a romantic break.    A really pretty town with a good choice of restaurant and bars. Good hotels. Good walking and scenery.  

    How lucky you live in Galway.

  7. west cork is a lovely area owenahinsha (excuse spelling) by roscarbury is a lovely place so to are the garnish isles

  9. Depends if you've a car or not I would suggest down south- cork near the coast however that would be a nightmare by train. Belfast is great also. But really if its an anniversary all you need is a bed!

  11. come out to malahide in dublin a great spot the nightlife is brill and its so close to the city for sightseeing

  15. west cork, donegal or the aran islands. or you could always spend a weekend in dublin i guess.

  16. Donegal.........rolling hils and lovely atmosphere!!! people are really nice (like me!!!hehe!!) and we have lovely beaches.......though i dont reccomend go swimming......the water is usually freezing!!!!

  17. Stay home.  Everyone else likes to go to galway.

    Nice places I have been, Kenmare, Kerry, Dingle, Kilkenny, Faithleg House and golf club, Aran Islands, Westport, Kilarny, Clifden.  Try Kenmare if you haven't been.

  19. You have to come to Donegal..direct Bus Eireann from Galway, stopping in Bundoran, Ballyshannon, Donegal Town, Ballybofey and Letterkenny, so you are spoilt for choice.

    Lovely people, great craic and hospitality that you can only dream about......Enjoy your anniversary anyway.

  22. take a visit to the basket islands, the scenery is spectacular, the cost of b and b is reasonable and the people are very friendly. the visitors centre is interesting and the pubs are fun.

  23. my fiance and i stayed in a hotel in Dublin called the Quality Hotel and Leisure Centre. It was beautiful and really good value. The rooms are gorgeous with huge beds. Plus its handy to bars and restuarants if you want to go out although there are 2 bars and 2 restuarants in the hotel... That were he proposed last year, I'll definately be going back.  Its worth checking out babe. Hope you've a good one x
