Where is the best place to have a beach wedding ceremony in the Bahamas?

I want to get married in the Bahamas sometime next year, maybe May. I am trying to find a really nice place for all of my guests to stay and have a good time, but also a place that offers beach weddings. I was thinking of having a small, beach ceremony, then a sunset dinner cruise as a reception. Only close friends and family will be attending, so I don't want a big reception or anything. Has anyone gotton married in the Bahamas? If so where? I am looking for suggestions and recommendations or any advice really! Thanks!

Sandals or the Sheraton Cable Beach would be my pick.. Stay away from Breezes.. it's tacky, tacky, tacky and very low class.

For a very lovely wedding.. you might consider the Cloisters on Paradise Island.  may be a bit expensive.. but please, check it out.

At least have some photos done on the premises.

The Old Bahama Bay Resort is a small gem located on Grand Bahama Island's western end.  It's known for friendly and personalized service, particularly for weddings.

Some thoughts  --- you may want to hire or consult with a destination wedding planner if you won't have the time to manage the travel arrangements that are required.  Also, you'll need to make your reservations soon, especiallly for the popular resorts.  For detailed destination wedding advice,  there are good tips on the "tools" link at:
