Where is the best place to have a birthday party in Atlanta for a 27 year old African American female?

I will probably have between 10 and 20 people celebrating with me and I want to go somewhere where we can have a good time without breaking the bank. I'm thinking about dinner at Geisha House on the Sunday before or after, but on another night, I want to go somewhere and dance. My birthday is on a Friday, so you know I have to do it big!

Blacks in Atlanta usually like places like Justin’s, Trois, Twist or Shout. If they really want to be ballers they’ll go to the Capitol Grille.

Often they will not tip their servers, though.

Try Taboo 2. I heard it's pretty nice. If you want to go out Friday, you could also try the Velvet Room.

If you want to do a club, then places like Velvet Room will charged you $300 for a VIP section and give you passes for up to 20 people to get in free (before 12), then they will give you a $200 bar tab. Now if you want to do something fun, but not dance you can go to Barley's. On Fridays they have a cover band call Indigo Sunset that is really good. There are also pool tables and a DJ upstairs as well. Happy Birthday and have fun!
