  1. Try a little cafe/bar/restaurant called Steam. It's where that long line of cafes and takeaways are in the middle of south bank but Steam is the last one around the corner and overlooks the river. It's licensed too so you can have a glass of wine with your lunch if you want. It's a really relaxing place to have a meal and it's not expensive at all and it's nice to sit and watch the world, and the river, go by. I sometimes go there for dinner with my husband and daughter and we each have a meal, she has a soft drink and we sit and have to slow cold beers and it come to under $50.

  2. theres a few nice places around southbank, near the museum and stuff, i dont know the names to be honest im sure you can find some nice ones.

  3. Check out this site... sorry - I would help more but I just can't remember the names of half the places I have been to!

  4. Go to Manly, (u can catch the train to Manly from South Bank or the City etc).  Manly is gorgeous - marinas/boats etc and markets on Sunday.  Excellent lunch from Celtic Corner (Irish Bar & Bistro).  Won't break the bank, but excellent food and service plus great views. Licensed from 8am for a champagne breakfast.
