I'm getting married next year and don't know where to have the reception. It will be in Michigan. I DON'T want to have it at a golf course, so please don't give me that response.

  1. Could you at least narrow it down to a Peninsula?

Just stating you'll be married in MI is a pretty broad statement.

You could get married in Marquette or in h**l!  Both are spots in Michigan.

If location (other than not a golf course) doesn't matter then I'd recommend on Mackinac Island.

  2. Go to www.diahall.com   It's the Downriver Italian-American Hall and it's extremly beautiful. It is located in Wyandotte, MI... GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. OK...Oy vey is right.  We live in a huge state!

I'm in the Upper Peninsula....very pretty here.

Anyway....the Detroit metro area is huge also!  If you don't want a golf course, then look into simple reception venues and/or hotels.....there are TONS!  It also depends on your budget.

    The Dearborn Inn is one.

You can also get married at Greenfield Village in Detroit.

Lots of nice places out in Ann Arbor and Plymouth.

You can even get married and have the reception at the Detroit Zoo....now that would be different!

If you want to head up this way....Mackinac Island is nice....as are things here in Marquette....very pretty.
