Question:

Where is the best place to learn to surf (in North America)?

I'm looking to learn to surf this summer. I live in Alberta, Canada (near the Rocky Mountains) and I'm considering a road trip this summer, hopefully to somewhere I can learn to surf (or at least have fun trying).

Any specifics (certain areas, companies, etc) are also greatly appreciated!

  6. california is closest to you, but florida is probably better i guess. i usually go to newport beach in california but idk if they have any good waves.

  7. wrightsville beach, north carolina is the perfect place to learn i live there and its a homey place to go and offers a waves from begginner size to expert

    north america does include costa rica tho if u speak spanish and are willing to drive that far they have really good waves and it would be a good learning experience
