Our kids are 4 and 7 and we are moving from NZ to Melbourne in Jan. Work will be in the Thomastown/Campbellfield area. Want to live within 30 mins? in a family area with good schools, kindies, shops and community facilities. What areas are good??

Does anyone know about the Altona/Sanctuary Lakes area?. We are moving from the beach so like the look of these areas with new housing and close to beach. Please help this confused mum!!

  1. I moved to Melbourne last year and after a short survey I ended up in Brighton East. It´s one of the safest suburbs and only 15 minutes from the CBD. The beach is nearby and there are lots of activities. My kids play tennis and swim at local centres. There are plenty of good schools around. My son attends Brighton Grammar and he´s very happy there.
