Could somebody can give me some suggestions about the best place to live when I study in American Language Institute, New York University for 14 weeks? Dorms, off-campus, on-campus?@@

I wish I could learn more daily conversation or business writting during this time, but I don't have idea of which one should I choose to live?

  2. One of the cool website on study abroad programs that I just came across, hopefully may help you :

  3. I think any choice you make about living will be beneficial as you'll have to interact with roommates no matter what. Living in the dorms might be nice because you'll have tons of opportunities to speak with people anytime you're around the dorms about anything.

At the same time, living in an apartment off campus will probably put you in a fun and vibrant area. Not only will you improve your English language skills by talking to neighbors/roommates and other people you meet but you'll get to experience authentic New York.

NYU is a great school - you're going to enjoy your time there so much! Have fun :)

  4. I would definitely say live off-campus. I've done study abroad for the past two summers in Italy and I lived off-campus. My Italian progressed the most when I was outside of school and chatting with real Italians vs. living on campus and speaking English with all of the other students. Plus, NY is amazing, you should get out and about! You'll learn the most daily conversation when you're wandering about the streets instead of cooped up in a dorm.
