Where is the best place to make a website?

I thinking of making this web site where users can like post their stories,poems, something similar to the old quizilla .....but i don't want to have buy a web site

www.thecubehost.com is the best for this. right now i  know they have asale and you will only have to pay $2.95/month. They have scripts that will allow you to create a forum, blog, or whatever you want.

It sounds like you'll need to be able to run your own software on the website which means you'll have to pay for it. Shared webhosting isn't expensive, and you can often offset the cost with advertising like Google Adsense. Webhosts that offer "free" website hosting do so by putting a frame on the top or side of your website with ads in it. So why not just have your own ads on your site? For instance I have a website that's making over $300 a month from adsense alone. Just think, I'd be missing out on that if I insisted on "free" webhosting. You'll also have much more freedom (not to mention respect) if you have your own web host without the obvious ad frame.

You will be able to build your site anyway you want with a lot more options for free. Keep in mind as your new site grows you can upgrade to even more features.
