  1. If you are going at the weekend then their isnt any congestion charge (I am certain there isnt on sunday and think there isnt on saturday) anyway. Looking at this map http://www.milesfaster.co.uk/images/imag... and several others, London Zoo isn't even in the congestion charge and is very easy to get to. there are many parking spaces the area if you are coming from the north and finchley road then once you get to the same road as the zoo to the left are many parking spaces and a huge area devoted to parking. if you are coming from the south then park somewhere in Kennington that way you are just out of the ongestion charge (if it isn't a weekend) and you can get the underground straight to Camden Town station onf the Northern Line (Black). Don't make the same mistake as many other people do thinking that the zoo is near Regent's Park station just because London Zoo is in regent's park but the other end only a 10 min walk from Camden Town, where as from Regent's Park you need to get a bus that will take you to Camden Town and will take over 15min. If you are coming from the west then I would say somewhere near nottinghill gate. Basicly just get to an underground station out of the congestion charge (if it's a weekday)

    Hope this helps

  2. It'd be helpful to know which direction you would be approaching London from.

From the north-west I would probably suggest a car park at Swiss Cottage, on the A41 Finchley Road (opposite the public library and sports centre), right by the tube station - which gives you a short journey (10 minutes to the West End) on the jubilee line to the centre of town. I think it costs £8/day - - there are big signs advertising it: it is specifically aimed at people seeking to avoid the congestion charge.

  3. the question is where in London are you going and are you looking to park for free and for how long? I always park in Regents park then just walk into central London. But you have to pay in the park like £3 an hour or therabouts. The Park is right by Marylebone Road where the charge starts. The link for milesfaster above wont work because you tried to link to an image. You must like to the whole page.
