  1. Prague is a great choice for all the reasons someone else has already given you.

Another great choice is Copenhagen. Tivoli opens in the winter and has a world class Christmas market. The attractions are open and there a couple of buildings with full of christmas animations. There's also a skating rink and several restaurants with Christmas meals. The rest of the city is full of decorations and the normal sightseeing opportunities.

  2. You have a nice description of a journey in christmas from London to Rome in this site:

  3. Prague is wonderful city and has its own magic when covered with snow. The christmas markets on Old town square and some other places are so magical. You walking around drinking hot wine with spices, eating Czech "trdelník" (it's delicious baked treat). There's also some program with Czech carols on the huge stadium at the square, there's also a live Bethlem on selected days. I just love this atmosphere. The market offers a lot to choose from. You can find very unusual stuff there.

Oh, and also there's a huge decorated christmas tree.

  4. I have spent Christmas in Paris, Helsinki and Florence, any of those places are good.

  5. Lapland in Finland because it is the official home for Santa Claus!!!

  6. Andorra, france, austria you could go skiing in all these places. Barcelona is a beautiful places to go errm Italy to go skiing aswell but thats all i can think of
