Going at Easter. Never been before and wonder where to stay. Is it best to stay around the Marina or out of the strip? Your help is appreciated.

  1. In Murcia I would recommend either Torrevieja or San Javier both of which cater for holidaying families having safe beaches, tourist hotels and restaurants.

  2. I have a beachfront apartment in Puerto de Mazarron in Murcia. I take my children there all the time and they love it. There are many clean ,sandy, uncrowded beaches that you wont find at the other resorts mentioned. The apartment is just a 5 min level walk to shops, cafes and traditional Spanish restaurants and you wont find the lager lout brigade there either. It has long been a favourite holiday destination for Spanish families but has remained relatively undiscovered outside of Spain. In my apartment I have left water wings, lilos, buckets, spades, inflatables, picnic rugs and lots of other useful items to help keep the little ones amused and cut down on your packing! Let me know if you want to rent the property. I can do Easter week for £125 for the whole apartment. La Manga is fine for adults but I find it a bit hectic and crowded for my children. Last May we had the complex pool to ourselves and the beach. You will be lucky if you find anywhere to sit on the beaches of the strip.

Have a think and let me know. Pics can be seen on holidaylettings home number 17073.
