  1. OK so start at ocean beach (watch out for the under tow!). After your good with that its time to go to mavericks!! Just make sure you ready!! lol. Have fun.

  2. Id say Ocean Beach But conditions and stron g currents dont realy make it ideal for longboards. Head down the coast towards Pacifica, im not sure of the name of the break but you will know your there when you see the taco bell right on the beach. lots of sketchy breaks inbetween there and Davenport, avoid Anuo Neuavo its a great white feeding ground. Good Luck

  3. cowell's in santa cruz is great for longboarders. a bit of a drive from san francisco, but much better than mavericks for longboarding. also, maybe around davenport when the waves are smaller.

  4. Ive been to a beach south of san francisco called fort funston (it's an old army fort) and it had really nice waves. unfortunately i was visiting relatives and i didnt have my board. the waves were perfect a-frame shape and there was only one guy out there, you should check it out.

  5. If you are a very good surfer and want to try something daring, forget those long board and get a short board and try Mavericks near Half Moon Bay, that is a short drive from San Fransisco.
