Where is the best place to take Avalanche classes?

Contact your local mountain sport clubs and ask them for a list of the classes. If in the western US, most of the ski areas have a course for very basic skills  several times a year.

For advanced training, contact the National Ski Patrol. The courses are quite demanding for anyone. You need to be in very good physical condition, just being in the snow zones you need to be aware of potential slides.  Washington State has had many snow slides this year which have caused highway closures and great economic loss.
