  1. Alaska is beautiful but cold. I was born there & it it's beautiful. Also Lake Tahoe bordering California & Nevada states: The second most beautiful place in America! Have fun.

  2. As the first answer states, it is such an open question. I've been all over the world (Australia as well), and have to tell you  -  every single climate and terrain is to be found here in the US. That's a fact, not a brag. What you'll want to do is think a bit on what you're looking for. If it's something new altogether, we'll have that too. I myself think that the old Southwest and the Pacific Northwest will give you the most bang for your tourist buck.

As far as friendliness, nothing's any different with us. Americans are being crapped on by everyone nowadays, but we haven't changed. Aussies are cool by us. The South is cool too, though I wouldn't  call the locals names or treat them as stupid. People do that alot, but not to their faces. You show up here and you'll be welcome. We'll leave the light on. Email me if you have any more q's.

  3. That's too open of a question. It depends what you are into. Architecture, scenic beauty, water views, mountains, nature, night-life, music and arts, historically significant things, the list goes on and on. The answer would vary greatly depending on your interest.

I'm partial to water views, nature, and getting away from congested cities. One of my favorite places in the world is right here in my home state of Minnesota. I love the North Shore area just past Duluth. It is close enough to provide some city pleasures, but remote enough to give me the peace I seek. I've traveled all over the world and the area I'm talking about still makes me feel better than another other place I've been.

And yes, we are friendly towards Australians. Most of us love the accent. ;-)

  4. depends on what you're looking for... but california is awesome!
