  1. When it comes to the Caribbean, I don't think that you'll find anything affordable in the Bahamas.

I would recommend visiting the British Virgin Islands, like Tortola, Jost Van d**e, or Virgin Gorda, the are beautiful an affordable.  We stayed at the Long Bay Resort, it was adorable, not expensive, and hardly any people there.  We loved it.  We're going back in August.  Then we took a fairy to Jost Van d**e, beautiful, too.

You could also try the US Virgin Islands, I would recommend St. John.

If you really want to go outside the "box"  there is an island off the mainland of Honduras and it's just gorgeous.  It's called Roatan, Honduras.  We went there last summer and loved it.  It's a two hour flight from Houston, the sand is white and the water is turquoise, and not many people.  Food was great and people are so sweet.  The options are endless...

  2. I would suggest something close like Puerto Rico, Bermuda or Mexico. Since you are only going for 3-4 nights go somewhere you can get to cheaply and quickly so you can make the most out of your time. Puerto Rico does not have AI's but they do have a variety of accommodations to suit every budget. In addition to the beach and culture they also have a lot of historical sights, so the trip can be educational as well. Cozumel and Cancun also are pretty affordable and offer a variety of things to do and see.

  3. You might look into Breezes or the RIU.. both are all-inclusive.

Breezes is on cable Beach.. RIU next to Atlantis.

If you are looking for reasonably prices.. I wouldn't even consider Atlantis,  but you can stay at the Comfort Suites across the street for 1/2 the price and still get access to the waterpark.   It's not all inclusive.. and dining in the area is VERY expensive.  (you could go over the bridge to Nassau for more moderately priced dining options.. and far better food in general).

Of course, there are also wonderful out island vacation spots.  Relaxing and authentically bahamian.

Look into Harbour island, Eleuthera, Long Island, etc.

Cape Santa Maria,  Columbus Isle Club Med would fit the bill.

there's 1000's of options.. Atlantis is just the most touristy.. and most advertised.

  4. FREEPORT,GRAND BAHAMA BABY . alot of nightlife, cute boys, and of course SHOPPING and alot of other good stuff that u r looking for. Our lucaya in freeport is very affordable and it is on the beach. also a very popular nightlife scene is right acroos the street and is call port lucaya.

    have a good time

  5. If you do go to the bahamas, try Atlantis, it's really fun. however, it's not that cheap, especially the food, but you will have the time of your life! good luck!

  6. The best place I know about in the Bahamas is 'Atlantis', It's located on Paradise Island, Nassau Bahamas. It is expensive, but if you have a room you have access to many huge pools, water slides and other things like that, the best beaches on the island and the rooms there are great.

there's the website if you want to check it out. I live in Nassau, Bahamas and I've stayed there once or twice. Its a really great place.

Good luck finding a place to stay

  9. It would be best to visit the Great Abaco and rent a house. Elbow Cay has some amazing houses with many places to snorkel, eat, etc ! You can rent a boat and access the island via ferry. It will be an experience far greater than any resort could provide.
