  1. word of warning, many people will tell you what is their favorite cue, therefore they consider the "best". They are the "best" cues due to the person's ability and playing style and that is all! You must hit with and experiment with many kinds of cues to find out which suits your taste.

You should not spend more than $250.00. Generally the more the cue cost the more exotic woods, inlays and "stuff" are added. For the fanatic and collector it is the cuemaker or cuemaker & "stuff" on the cue.

You can go to azbilliards.com or muellers.com or type in "cue sticks", "billiard cues", or "custom cues" in your searchengine for a cue.

Here are some names of relatively inexpensive good cues: Cuetec, Mali, McDermott, Action, Meucci you can start with these. Hint, Sometimes you can  find these cues at a Pawn Shop for a steal! Good Luck!

  2. HAWLEYS BILLIARDS.COM

they have the best prices  and the largest  selection on the web

SCHON CUES are the best cuemaker period

  3. If you are looking for a true "custom", I would suggest going to AZBilliards.com and read the forums and check the wanted/for sale section or just do a search on custom cues. You will find lots of opinions but also tons of useful information.

  4. John Parris is so good that it even comes with warranty and certification. I just love john parris, but its very expensive, prepare to pay top dollar for top workmanship! you get for what you pay for

i clicked on the shuler website, its a pool cue website. this is for the snooker fans. http://www.parris-cues.co.uk/home.html

  5. The best cue that I've ever come across is the Schuler Cue.  Every Schuler shaft fits every Schuler handle ever made.  You can easily switch from a shaft for pool to a shaft for snooker.  The joint is the main difference in the Schuler.  It provides for perfect harmonics and has an unmistakable feel in your grip hand.  It's the only cue I recommend to my students.  Check out the website and see for yourself.  You can always email me with any specific questions.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

P.S.  Tony is right, shop around.  There are many good cues on the market.
