Where is the best place you ever travelled to?

Am writing a list of place to go and would like the opinion of others.

My wife and I travelled to Jamaica last year, was the most beautiful vacation spot.  We are planning to go back there again.

its a hard one to answer, so many places and so many differant reasons for likeing them, I will give you some reasons for going.

recent vacations only (the last two years)

NEW YORK CITY, loved the hustle and bustle, loved seeing places that you only saw on the news or in movies, love to now say when i see some place there that i have been...... hey, i have been there. loved the people,

but the cost is high

THE CANADIAN ROCKIES, its just awe inspireing, the views are breath takeing, to be in such a pristine area is food for the soul.

reasonable costs

CUBA, loved it here, its good to see with your own eyes how this island has survived in the face of so many embargos put on by a superpower, and still be a place that the people are happy and proud.

cheap vacation

ENGLAND, i grew up here, going back on vacation ( from Canada) i see lots of things that i don't like, i find its dirty in the citys, compared to NYC its really dirty, the counrtyside is nice, but the towns are getting crowded, the only thing i miss about england is the fish and chips.

very expensive

Dominican Republic.  I did not like DR, i found it dirty, trash laid all along the roadsides, the people were very unhelpful, the towns and citys were rundown, people just didn't seem to care

cheap, but not worth it

MEXICO, the west coast, manzanillo,  what cani say, this is a place i fell in love with, the people were so friendly, the area was tidy, the life was easy going, the people were proud of where they lived, yes there were some poor areas, but if i was chooseing where i liked best , this would be it.

cheap and very good value for your money

Has to be Vietnam.

I had a lot of fun there and it was very interesting learning things you can't read in books since people change it all...

I also liked Egypt :-)
