  1. It's a tight contest between four for me -- McKinney Roughs near Bastrop, TX, the Texas State Natural Area near Bandera, TX, and Garner Valley, NE of Temecula, CA, and in the mountains on BLM land near Ranchita, CA.  All three were beautiful, natural areas.  All were with fantastic people.  The weather, well, wasn't always the best, but they were still great rides!

  2. Yosemite National Park was the best.  There was no one around and it was absolutely breath taking.  It is beautiful and the air is fresh.  The sun set made it very romantic for my husband and myself.

  3. Philmont Scout Ranch, New Mexico. Philmont is the mecca for any scout. There are waiting lists for thousands of people to go backpackig here every summer, but my crew did a special horsepacking trek. Philmont is placed in the northern part of New Mexico, so it was just like Colorado, High peaks and expansive valleys, with some of my best friends.
