Where is the best play to stay in Negril, Jamaica?

By best, I don't mean all-inclusive. I'm looking at somewhere nice, scenic and close to the beach. I like the idea of getting a villa but want to meet people my age when I'm out there (mid 20's) Not really concerned about the cost - just need to make sure it looks heavenly as taking a friend there for her birthday!

Check into Sandals resort.  Jamaica is quite scary and its best to stay on the resorts or in a large crowd.

Negril beach is very beautiful, its white sand beaches and the water is teal blue.  

We went there when we visited Jamaica on our cruise.

Well 1st off don't listen to those 2..

Check out Coco LaPalm, The Palms and Rondel Village..

All are great EP hotels right on the beach.. The Grand Pineapple is a reasonably priced all inclusive to consider..

My favorite is CocoLaPalm http://www.cocolapalm.com/ , as it's a little quieter as it's a bit of a walk to the clubs at night, which can be very loud until about 4am or so. Great stretch of beach, and close enough to restaurants and clubs. Coco has 2 pools and a hot tub, nice clean rooms too..

The Palms http://www.thepalmsnegril.com/ is a newly redone property, but further away from the action.. Closer to the All Inclusives, but a nice quiet location. It has a pool as well.

Rondel Village http://www.rondelvillage.com/ has rooms and villa's. A pool, hot tubs and nice beach front also.. Very short walk to the clubs.

And right next door to Alfred's (club) and a very short walk to the other clubs is a moderately priced all inclusive The Grand Pineapple Resort http://www.grandpineapple.com/

Nice beach front, bars open until 10pm, all food, local alcohol, and drinks included.

Duh I almost forgot to add Idle Awhile. Right next door to Coco, small, very chill little boutique hotel.. http://www.idleawhile.com/

Just use common sense and you will be more than fine..

You also may want to consider some properties on the cliffs, as the cliffs are very relaxed and romantic..

The coolest and best resorts on the beach in Jamaica is Hedonism.They have swim-up rooms and it is clothing optional also.The scenery is heavenly.have fun
