  5. Your open ended question gives me the latitude to say Hawaii.  I have visited all but one of the major islands and can give you my unqualified, enthusiastic endorsement for virtually all of them.

Oahu or Maui would probably be your best bets as they have many great beaches, sights, and activities for all ages.

In addition to world famous Waikiki, Oahu has a zoo, the Arizona Memorial and other World War II warships, a pineapple plantation tour, a fun water park, great snorkeling locations, reasonably-priced hotels, and nice eateries.

Maui is more for the college and twenties set but has a lot to offer families.  Beaches are even better than Oahu, Haleakala volcano offers a great day trip, then there is the sugar train, winding road to Hana, para sailing, fishing, submarine tour, snorkeling tour to Molokini, and a myriad of shops and restaurants.  Condos and hotels are abundant.

Molokai, Lanai, and Kauai are more laid back, usually for an older crowd, and offer fewer amenities.

Check with the various tourist bureaus on line for a great vacation!

  6. In the summer the Outer Banks, NC is a nice place to stay. At the KOA close Caper Hatteras, NC you can rent out cabins. Check out their webstie, www.koa.com. The beaches aren't usually crowded in June. I think that is the best time to go. I hope this helps!
