Half.com is usually pretty low. Also check the individual sellers on Amazon (click on the link that says "used and new from..."). Some schools utilize Bell Tower Books which is a student-run nationwide used book database. Ask around or check on Facebook to see if your school has any representatives.

Most universities have used books in their bookstore. You could also try amazon.com or any local use bookstore.  Just check your yellow pages.

prices vary by book and by site.  Used inventory changes on a regular basis so be ready to buy when you shop.

You can use a free price comparison site such as http://www.campusbooks.com to see prices from over two dozen websites.  They may save you time in finding the cheapest books.

The best part of a price comparison site is that they show you all the conditions new, used, ebooks, rental and international so you can see what all is for sale.
