Where is the better place to go topless-- jamaica or dominican republic?

Probably the dominican republic.

Jamaican culture and anglo-caribbean culture in general retains strong ties to Victorian-era Britain in regards to social manners, ettiquete, and of course, public nudity. there arent a great many nude beaches in Jamaica and public nudity is largely frowned upon.

What do you mean by better? In DR it is common for women to be topless. No-one even notices because it's so common.

There are some clothing optional beaches in Jamaica - Hedonism at Negril was one such place when we visited there a few years ago..  Not sure about Dominican Republic.

Might be a good idea to e-mail some of the resorts both places and ask them if they allow women to go topless - then you would know for sure and not be disappointed when you get there.

i think jamaica, maybe in the tourist area its best. DR its too strict about nudity in culture, its disrespectful in the country.

Either place would be just fine.  Just strip off the top and walk anywhere and nobody will notice because all the women go topless in either country.

I've been to both islands and Dominican Republic is better.  It seems more go topless there. In fact, I don't even remember seeing anyone in Jamaica lay out without a top on.
