  2. Dear Tejvinder the BMC chowk comes after you cross the Bus Stand when you come to Jalandhar from Ludhiana/Delhi side on the main road (and if you not turned to bye pass which is before you enter the city). This is very busy area and from here straight road leads to the city centre, left turn leads you to Amritsar, Pathankot, Kapurthala, Nakodar, and right turn leads to District administration complex and also to railway station. Here the traffic is controlled by traffic lights. In this chowk you will see a large size replica of the shape of heart and also a statue of Mr Beant Singh former Chief Minister of Punjab. Originally this chowk/roundabout was build by a company named British Motor Car (BMC), situated on the left corner, but now after fitting traffic lights this chowk was removed from the centre and built on the corners, heart shaped replica was fixed by Paruthi Hospital which looks after this area and specialises in heart operation/surgery in Jalandhar.
