Where is the card number on a visa?

Its a giftcard and i am trying to find the balance,

like how many digits is the number? is it on

the front or on the back? i CANT find it.

The card number is on the front of the card.  It will start with a 4 if it is a Visa and 5 for MasterCard, 6 for Discover and so on.  These are divided into blocks of 4 numbers.  Visa would be something like 4000 0000 0000 0000 and have the experation under it.  On the back in a place for the signature is a code.  You will need the last three numbers of the code in most cases.

Well if you can't find it, just take it to the store it's for and have them swipe it for a balance. :D

they should be on the front the big number that are there if it looks like a debit card

if it came from a bank it should have a piece of paper with the card number on it
