  1. With the crunch of our tough economy and houses in foreclosure at an all-time high, your chances of finding a decent pool table at a good price, are quite good right now.

Check out the want-ads in your local and state newspapers. For a few dollars, you can also place an ad in the paper.

Ask around. Ask pool hall owners about tables for sale.

Check out CraigsList.com, for pool tables for sale in your area; tables that you can go look at to assess the quality and your set of standards.

With a bit of diligence and patience, I'm confident that you will find a good used pool table.

    Good luck, pool player.

  2. First, you need 5' of space free of any obstructions on each side of the table to play effectively. Consider that a pool cue is over 50" long and add 8" to 12" for a decent stroke if the cue ball is up against a rail. So, a room would have to be at least 18' x 14 1/2' just to house a 7' table.

You can find a decent used table on craigslist.org fairly inexpensive or visit or call a local pool room and ask for the owner or manager. They will probably know who has a table available or there might be a bulletin board with something listed on it.

By all means, do NOT purchase anything from Wal Mart or anyplace like that if the table doesn't have at least a 3/4" slate bed. Anything less will just be a waste of money. You would be better served just paying for table time at one of the pool rooms. I hope that helps.

  3. Walmart --ya baby

  4. Try buying one from a tournament.

Some are played at venues that aren't pool halls.

They get the tables in just for that tournament.

If they sell them on after the tournament, you can pick up a bargain.

  5. A good used one but check it out yourself first dont buy online try your local papers

  6. Google for Craig's list for your area or local newspaper classifieds.

  7. look for a used Valley Bar table. go to your neighborhood pub and take the tele number for the vending company that supplies and services the bars table. depending on area 500-800 and they can handle delivery, set up service, etc...
