  1. For visiting family we've done better buying from www.ticketmania.com than through AAA or Disney.

I would not trust people knocking on doors.  There is no way to tell if the tickets are valid and unused.  You can do the timeshare tour if you want to sacrifice a couple of hours, can give a firm no, and want only 1 day tickets.

  2. Also check mousesavers.com.  BTW, Deals that look too good to be true usually are...

  3. AAA has legitimate discounts on tickets.

If you're not a AAA member, there are small legitimate discounts on Disney World theme park tickets through this link: http://www.MapleLeafTickets.com/?a=719

The best discount comes from planning an itinerary that doesn't require park hopping - that'll save about $45 per ticket.  That's something we do for our clients.

With Universal, the best deals are often found on their website.

  4. Tourist Bureau has free upgrades on select Disney tickets.

Other than that most vendors sell at about same price.

Some will post a price without applicable taxes which make them seem cheaper.

There is alo the timeshare route where you can get some free disney tickets or buy all your multiday passes at a good discount.

This can be a time consuming way to go but you'll get a deal.

  5. Don't go to timeshare promos.  It will waste a day of your vacation and not worth it unless you plan on buying one!  You can save a little by buying through AAA.  Overall, the prices are the same.  Save money other ways.....i.e.  cut your eating expenses.  You can save a lot by watching where those extra $ are spent!  By the way, eating in the Disney parks are very reasonable.  Some of the sandwiches are so large they can be shared.

  6. Actually the best trick to saving money for attraction tickets is taking Timeshare tours. Most of the time you will get free tickets and a free breakfast. You just have to be strong and refuse to buy unless you really want to.

Another thing to check is there are discount magazines all around Kissimmee. These tend to have good deals for not just Disney but other local attractions.

  7. Disney and Cheap never go in the same sentence :-(

I LOVE Disney and I am ALWAYS trying to find ways to save money when going!

The past few times I have gone, I've gotten a package deal with my room and tickets (best to stay at one of their moderate resorts such as Port Orleans, Riverside; saves money)

Plan out how much you want to spend on food per day

Buy those $13 refillable mugs--worth the money

souvenirs arnt worth it; they are waayy too over priced ( all you need is a t-shirt)

    Hope this helps!
