  1. The fish you mentioned are a dime a dozen at any pet store so it doesn't make sense to pay $30 to ship $5 worth of fish. If you really can't find fish locally, try Aquabid. It's like eBay for fish. Liveaquaria.com is also good. Fish are surprisingly tough and will almost always survive being mailed.

  2. Check here:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i...

    You can find it.

    Good luck!

  3. I would not recommend getting your fish this way unless you have to.   How far away is your nearest petshop (or mall)?  If it's far, try to plan your trips to the petshop around other visits to the town (or mall) with family members.  First of all, you can see the fish your getting this way and you can also avoid shipping costs which for would more than double the cost of your purchase for the types of fish you're mentioning.   You might want to check your local papers (or even put up flyers) to see if someone in your area (or school) raises some of the fish you areinterested in getting.  They might be willing to give you some or you could pay them some low price for some fish.  The other benefit to this is you'll get to know the folks in your closest pet shop and you might also meet other people in your area who raise fish that you can talk to and exchange info and tips about raising fish.

Hopefully these suggestions will work for you.

  4. the fish is the cheapest part it's the shipping that is expensive. Shipping ranges anywhere from $25-$75. Maybe petco.com is the cheapest. (yess they sell fish on petco.com)
