Where is the cheapest place to rent a surfboard and fullbody wetsuit for the day in San Clemente, HB, or any other nearby beach?

I am a beginner so I will need a long board. I would also like to rent a fullbody wetsuit and possibly the booties. Where is the CHEAPEST place to do this? I live in Riverside, so areas/beaches closest to there would be ideal. Thanks!

Go shopping. Go into the local surf shops. You can tell the ones that are real surf shops, not bathing suit stores that sell some surfboards, because they will have a BIG inventory of all different types of boards. talk to the folks in the stores, they are surfers, and can hook you up with everything from lessons to rentals. Don't be shy, they are cool folks, ask about their prices. Then comparison shop. I don't know the neighborhood, but believe me, there are plenty of real surf shops there. Go wander around the shops, talk to the surfers and feel the vibe. Surf shops answer surf questions, not he Internet. Now, go down town and shop, and then go surfing!

I live in SC- I have no idea where you'd rent a wetsuit, but if you go to the Pier Market right across the street from the San Clemente pier they rent out soft surfboards and other equipment. I don't know about wetsuits though. However, the water is warming up a little bit, and give it a few weeks- maybe a month or so, and you won't need a wetsuit! There are a few crazy guys trunking it in the SC breaks :]
