Where is the closest place from Long Island Airport, NY to catch an amtrak train?

I'm arriving at the Long Island Airport, needing to take a train to Boston South Station, where's the closest Amtrak station?

You would have to take the LIRR (LONG ISLAND RAILROAD) to Penn Station, then take Amtrak from there.

OR, you can take the Amtrak Bus from the LaGuardia Airport Station.

Take the Long Island Rail Road from Ronkonkoma (you can get a shuttle to this station from Islip/MacArthur[Long Island Airport]) to Penn Station.  You can catch an Amtrak train to Boston from there.
