Where is the closest shopping near Duke University in Durham NC?

I have a conference there Friday and want to do some shopping, where is the closest mall?

There are two malls in Durham.  Northgate Mall and Southpoint Mall.  Southpoint is the bigger one, but I'd say Northgate is definitely closer to Duke's campus.

There's also a street near Duke's campus called Ninth Street that has a good amount of shops and boutiques all along it that make for great outdoor "window shopping".
