Where is the command prompt for my computer?

Im trying to post a bug report to java and they want to know my java-version. And they say that the information can be obtained by typing "java version" at my command prompt.

So I need to know where it is to do it. Please help me with this because if you do then as soon as i can post a BA you will get it

  1. open new text file

    type @echo

            command

            command.com

    save it as anything but put .bat at the end of

    so if you call it cmd it would be cmd.bat ok

    then just click on the file and cmd has started

  2. click start, then run then type cmd, then press enter

  3. type it into the search bar



  4. Start/ Run/ (type: Command) hit enter, then type java version, enter.
