My grandmother met my grandfather on a blind date but wouldn't wear her glasses as she was being vain. So she mistook the place they were to meet.

But he had secretly admired her and knew already that she wore glasses realized what had happened and went to search for her. he proposed to her and still never let on that he knew she needed glasses not till after they were married for ages when one day he just said put your glasses on and then you'll see better..
