Where is the exact middle of the United States of America? Nebraska/Kansas?

The exact center of the U.S. (continental 48 states) is in Kansas, near the Nebraska border.

certainly nebraska and kansas are smack in the middle of the country, so i guess you can call them the 'middle states'?

Where is the exact center of the United States?

We figured this one on the lower 48 states, removing Alaska and Hawaii from the equation. So, if the continental United States was a flat plane balanced on a fulcrum, the point at which the plane would be perfectly balanced is latitude 39 degrees 50' N, longitude 98 degrees 35' W. That is near the town of Lebanon, in Smith County, Kansas.

Type "geographic center of us" into your search engine.  For the contiguous states, it's Kansas.  If you include Alaska and Hawaii it's in South Dakota.

Well it's difficult to define an exact middle since the U.S. is not a simple polygonal form.
