Where is the factory reset on the Canon XL H1 Video Camera?

someone has applied an effect on my camera that I cannot switch off so I need to factory reset I can't find anything in the manual covering this.

I needed to do this with my canon elura camcorder, I emailed canon and was told to take the internal battery out, open the lcd screen, it's a small flat battery next to the sd card. Consult your manual as yours might be a little different than mine. Take the battery out and leave out for 20 minutes. Put it back in and turn your camera back on.

Have you tried switching off presets or selecting a different one?  There's a reset button in the presets window.

Instead of running away from the problem, how about you instead tell us what the effect is, so we can help you turn it off? That way you'll learn something.

And no offense, but seriously, if you have a $10,000 professional video camera, you should at least try to be bothered learning how to use it.
