  1. Clear Crystal Sugar was made by Indian, during Gupta dynasty. However, crude manufacturing process was refined by almost all the users, including China, Indonesians and Malaysians, as well as Britishers and French.

    Aska in Orissa in 1824 was initiated by French, which produced sugar up to 1940 or so.

    Saran in Marhowrah in Bihar in 1904.
