Where is the fuel filter located for a 2001 dodge dakota with a 3.9l engine ?

its in the gas tank on that one ,you do have to drop it to get to it,its not to bad of a job though on that one,dependign on how much gas is in the tank that can make it really hard to handle,5 gallons of gas is really heavy when its sloshing around in a gas tank,good luck with it.

get a few buddies and take the bed off . something like 4 bolts and make sure you disconnect all the light wireing harnesses and the gas spout on the side of the bed. its alot easier than  to try and drop the tank and lot less messy.
