Question:

Where is the fusible link on a 2000 ford taurus

The taurus power windows, speedometer etc anything electricla ahs pretty much shutdown. We were told to look for the fusible link. Where is it located?

I think you had better look at other things first, start the car and pull the neg battery cable off the battery, if it stays running, move on if it dies or begins to run badly it will be your alternator or voltage regulator.  Have you checked all your relays in the power distribution (fuse) box under the hood?  Have you tested your battery?  It really sounds like you have  other gremlins than a fuseable.  Has the car ever been WET under the hood?   Take your time and look everything over under the hood, it might just suprise you what you or a buddy might find.  Good Luck!!

  4. follow positive battery cable over to fuse box on radiator support. should be a cover on one end of the box, remove side cover test maxi- fuse with a test light.  when maxi-fuse blows will cause other fuse to blow too.
