  1. Somewhere in the middle

  2. It's in some loser's private farm in Kansas.  I call him a loser because he wouldn't allow a marker to be placed on his land which is actually the geographic center.

A marker actually has been erected as close as they could possibly get it, near Lebanon, KS.  It's a spot where tourists can and often do visit, but it's not technically the geographic center of the US.

    .

  4. depends on if you include Alaska and Hawaii or not.

The geographic center of the "Lower 48" (the contiguous/conterminous US) is near Lebanon Kansas

the geographic center of the 50 states is near Belle Fourche, South Dakota

as an interesting note, the geographic center of North America is  on US territory, in North Dakota, near/in town of Rugby

  5. the center of the lower 48 is Lebanon kansas and for all 50 is afield of grass in north dakota;  he geographic center of the USA, including the lower 48, Alaska, and Hawaii. A bit awkward, perhaps. The geographic center for the lower 48 is marked with a monument in Kansas, and the geographic center of North America is also marked by a monument in North Dakota.

Location: 60 miles N of Rapid City, near Castle Rock

  6. Lebanon, Kansas
