Where is the good and safe area in north of nsw?

Im planning to go to school and so far the university of newcastle has the program i want to take. Pls . help me what area is peaceful and quiet in north of nsw. I have kids and i want a place where is of course safe. Pls. help and thanks a lot

Stay off the roads and you'll be safe. Everywhere apart from a few really evil suburbs in Sydney are safe. Live by the beach. Your kids'll love you forever.

It's all safe. If you're going to Newcastle Uni you may as well live in Newcastle - it's a nice small city with great beaches.

Really there are extremely few unsafe areas in Australia, and even they are actually pretty good if you don't mix with the wrong crowd. You don't need to worry. Just find a place that is convenient to where you want to go that looks nice in your price range. You can't go wrong.

Newcastle is a great place, but stay away from Wickham, Mayfield, Mayfield West and Windale.

Look for a place in Hamilton, Lambton, Cooks Hill, Broadmedow or Merewether depending on your budget.

I live at Nelson Bay 50kms north of Newy, 40mins by car, I have two kids 11 and 13 and they love it here.  It's much safer than Sydney.
