  1. What do you mean by "typical" koreans? Are there koreans that are atypical? Just curious :)

  2. Haha, for some reason I thought of Flushing. But me being a dumb-*** just realized it's Chinese. But on Northern Blvd coming from like Jackson Heights, there are TONS of restaurants both chinese and korean. But I'm recommending you go to NYC and go to like one of those boat tours. By the way, the answer under me is excellent.

  3. Try this website

    http://nymag.com

    first select restaurants

    then Korean

    there are many choices

  4. The block of 32nd Street between Broadway and Fifth has more than a dozen authentic Korean restaurant - all styles of cooking and all price ranges (some are open all night).  I like Hangawi on 32nd between Fifth and Madison - excellent food, lovely decor, good service, but, it's vegetarian.

Shilla on 32nd between Broadway and Fifth is a good barbecue restaurant

Cho Dang Gol on 35th between Fifth and Sixth has delicious food

  5. First of all.

A korean restaurant for your wife's parents?

    There are TONS of restaurants.

But don't you think the place should be comfortable for you too?

I think HANGANG is good enough.

it's on 32nd Street, between 5th and Broadway.

the interior is really nice and attractive, and they have all range of Korean foods from Traditional Korean Food to Fusion.

so, it will be good for you and your parents.

    and Other places?

if they are typical Korean, I think they want to see the statue of Liberty. don't miss that part.

and if you have enough time, please bring them to Niagara Fall on weekend if they haven't  been there before...

    Well. Good luck!

By the way, you are a great husband!

  6. Korean BBQ on 32nd street just off Broadway

  7. In the midtown area - there's an unofficial "Little Korea" (otherwise known as Koreantown) - near 8th Avenue and 32nd Street - where several blocks are filled with great Korean restaurants. My favorite is Kun Jip (9 W. 32nd St), where you can BBQ your own meat right at the table - they're known for their thick cut pork belly, and it's AWESOME. There are also fun karaoke places around that you can hit up late night.

For must see attractions - definitely have to go to Central Park (I love the Children's zoo, which is fun to go to in the summer - it's not the best zoo, but definitely the cutest, I love the Polar Bear exhibit!).

Hit the TKTS booth in Times Square and get discounted same day broadway show tickets. My parents are totally Korean and they LOVE broadway.

Definitely do the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building.

Hope this helps... you'll be fine! And savor some pork belly for me... Mmmmmmm. So good!
