airline aircraft have luggage placed under the cabin deck. there are overhead bins in the cabin, and a few luggage storages at the bulkheads for oversized luggage and the crews luggage

smaller aircraft have dedicated luggage locations at the aft or front bulkhead and sometimes under the cabin deck too. also, you can store luggage under the seats and if the plane is not too small, there will also be overhead bins.

In most airliners, the luggage compartments are under the floor of the passenger cabin.  In most light airplanes, there is a luggage compartment behind the seats.  Some bizjets and light twins have a luggage compartment in the nose.

It depends on the plane all the large planes store the cargo in the belly of the plane but some planes like the erj carry it in the rear of the fuselage and the atr carries it inbetween the cockpit and cabin. Really depends on the aircraft.
