Laos, laid back people, that didn't try to rip you off because you were a rich tourist, great temples and waterfalls,  nice guest houses for $4-8 a night.  The night life was good too.

The most awesome place I ever travelled to was the Havelock Island in the Andaman Islands. Only the northern tip of the island is inhabited. We took a boat from Pheonix Jetty in Port Blair. It was a 4 hour journey from 6 in thje morning. We took a jeep then, and we were travelling on a small road through a thick palm grove. It was like so magical, it was like we were the only ones and we had travelled back in time to prehistoric era you know! And then suddenly in the middle of the palm grove our small hotel was there. It was actually a cluster of 8 cottages. And there was a restaurant on stilts made entirely out of wood. Then we immediately went to the private beach. It was like awesome, you couldn't even see the beach at first because it was shielded by trees. And the water was so clear that my clip fell in the ocean and I could see it from above lying on the sea bed! This was the only place where I saw white sandy- beaches.
