Ventura was a possibility last year but now it may be different.

It is a 60ft sailboat.

I'll be sailing it down from the Columbia River if I find one.

  1. Most SoCal marinas have a limited number of live aboard slips, and a waiting list that sometimes goes for years.

When I decided to live aboard a friend recommended that I move to Two Harbors on Catalina Island.  I secured a job there and spent six years living aboard for free as an employee.

  2. Try King Harbor in Redondo Beach, (Los Angeles County) or Dana West in Dana Beach (Orange County)

  3. You've got  large boat... You plan on keep it in the ocean, right? Riverside County doesnt touch the ocean...its blocked by Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego Counties.

I would start be spending some time on the net, looking up ocean marinas for each county. Start with Santa Monica and work your way through Point Loma in San Diego.. every harbor has different marinas with slip-rental.

Its gonna take some TIME...get ready.
