Luciano's on the riverwalk right in river center mall, it's a little expensive but not that expensive and has a great romantic atmosphere..i loved it..

San Antonio has many good restaurants, and you can take your pick of German, Mexican, Italian, and "Texan" fare.

For romantic atmosphere I would choose dinner at the Tower of the Americas.  A little pricey, but the best view in town.  You could pick any restaurant on the Riverwalk--not just Mexican, but if you choose Mexican I recommend Casa Rio.

Another choice might be Chinese at Hung Fong on Broadway near Brackenridge Park.  Broadway also has Vietnamese restaurants.  Or you might choose an upscale steakhouse like Bohannon's, in the Rivercenter Mall.

Your question should be what do you like and how much can you afford?  You will be happy with whatever you choose.

Acenar ( mexican restaurant ) is a great place to fit your category on the river walk but mortons is good too(its a steak house)
