And would it be weird if you cried or got teary eyed when he proposed? Would he think it would be weird?

I do not have a boyfriend, but what are your opinions on this:

If two people are together for almost 2 years, and the girl is 18 and the guy is 20 and he proposes to her on the day she graduates high school. Are they too young? And would the proposal in front of the high school be romantic or not? Other ideas on where to propose are appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

  1. i personally, HATE surprises. the only surprise i'll be okay with is being proposed to. and i want to do that somewhere i can cry and look stupid and then give him the best kiss ever and i would be absoultly MORTIFIED if i was proposed to at a restruant, infront of family, or at a gathering like a high school graduation.

    just me personally.

and i would wait. please wait. i met the man of my dreams at 17 but im in no hurry to walk down the isle. (i need my BA first then he can put a ring on my finger). you have so much life that you're gonna want back in 50 years. you're only 18 or 19 or 24 once in your life.

    live it up!!!!!!!

    then get married!

  2. 1. Romantic places are determined by the couple themselves...like the place where you first kissed =)

    2. Tears are to expected I think...my finace was warned in advance that there would be tears!

    3. I hate when people who do not know the situation decide that a couple is too young, too immature, etc...maybe they really are ready! So many couples have gotten married at 18, 19, 20 and gone on to have some of the happiest marriages I've ever seen! Each person is different and not everyone feels the need to get around and experience several people and multiple heartbreaks before settling down.

  3. A proposal shouldn't be the defining factor. If its someone you love asking you to marry them then anything is special.

  4. I think that at 18, despite how long you've been together, you're too young to get engaged.  I think you owe it to yourself to go experience more life and see where you are after college, if you're still with that guy, then get engaged.

As for the proposal.. I was 24 and I cried my eyes out when my husband proposed to me. We were in a horse drawn carriage at Christmas time in the downtown square and it was lightly snowing and we stopped at the big tree in the square and he proposed.  It was very romantic.

I think a proposal is a very intimate moment and I wouldn't like it if it was done in front of a lot of people..

    Those are just my thoughts.

  5. TOO YOUNG!

If they definitly were going to get married that young it would be cute to propose at the college to show her that this is where more memories of them together will occur.

it is totally fine if the girl or the boy cries it's romantic

I think where ur parents proposed it cute or when u least expect it or

he blows off ur plans and is like just come home instead i'm too tired to go out your all mad at him...Then when u walk in there are flowers ect propose

or giving a scavenger hunt to him

    fun things are adorable!

  6. it would be better to propose at the sunsetting beach

  7. the sewer!
