Where is the nearest Chip shop to Holborn tube stn?

I don't mean McDonalds etc, A proper chip shop that sells savaloys and pickled eggs and stuff. Yum yum

  2. I agree Fryers Delight is probably the nearest to Holborn Station (http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/info_restaur... The best in my opinion is Rock and Sole Plaice (http://www.rockandsoleplaice.com/) near Covent Garden, which about a 5-10 minute walk down High Holborn.

    See the Timeout article in the sources below for a few other alternative London Fish and Chip shops. I also really like the Sea Cow restaurants which can be found in East Dulwich and Clapham.

  3. The Fryer's Delight on Theobolds Road, is a proper chip shop, although I was surprised that they didn't serve mushy peas!  However the do sell pickled eggs and large gherkins (or sweet dill cucumbers as some people call them). They have a good selection fish and normally cook to order.  

    An interesting fact about the fryer's delight is that it was in a kronenbourg 1664 advert a couple of years ago.
