  1. Scugog Island has one, 50 km NE of Toronto, near Port Perry, and I know they have a public casino you can visit, the Blue Heron Casino,  you can ask them about other kind of respectful visits or if they will let you attend a pow-wow.   I think there is a place you can visit around Buckhorn Lake / Chemong Lake.  There is also Georgina Island, in Lake Simcoe,  although that is probably more private.  There is another one west of Toronto, near Brantford, but maybe not a good time to visit there because disputes and defensive actions towards developers trying to steal more of their land.

IF you want to see traditional Indian village, you can see one set up near Campbellford, west of Toronto, and there are some long houses / historic village built with a museum too, at Midland Ontario, Ste. Marie Among the Hurons.

  2. Port Perry is closest but Rama just outside Orillia might be easier to get to. Rama is an extra 20-30km but it is on Hwy 400 while Port Perry requires driving on smaller highways and though at least 1 or 2 communities which is slower.
