  1. Chalkwall, and Shoeburyness East Beach are the best places. Take the Fenchurch St. line from London.

At low tide, there is no water in Shoeburyness for about a mile and a half from the shoreline, so plan your trip carefully around high tide if possible. Beware the mile-long boom that extends out between East Beach and the MOD base - this has damaged many a kite and windsurf board. The jellyfish that occasionally wash in on the incoming tide are harmless.

  2. Southend on sea area is great for kite surfing...try Chalkwell beach or Thorpe Bay as they are always quite popular, also there is a local bloke who does lessons..think he's from a wetsuit shop in Benfleet.

  3. Brighton

  4. Not sure if this is the closest, but in Shroeburyness (near Southend-on-sea) they do it! 45 minute train journey from Fenchurch street.

  5. The south coast ... Southampton sort of area has good Kite Surfing ... the Isle of Wight is also amazing and has beachs solely dedicated to it. Its only 2 hours on the train from Waterloo. Hope this helps :D

  6. southend on sea
