Where is the nearest pub/diner to hampden park glasgow?

we are looking for somewhere to eat before going to see rod stewart at hampden park glasgow

There's an italian called Bella Napoli on Pollokshields Road, which is very close to Hampden. It has fab food and a lovely atmosphere. We go there often and it's a favourite before the Scotland football games at Hampden for us! You can walk in 15 mins or 5 mins in a taxi. There are loads of pubs and bars and restaurants around that area. Just ask a taxi to take you to Shawlands cross and you'll be sure to find something. Have fun in Glasgow!

Dogs Rocks answer is the one you are looking for, and pretty much what i was going to tell you, great western road is great for eating, but not near enough for you when you are going to Hampden park. shawlands on the other hand is the nearest best place to go, the italian he recs is indeed good

THERE'S a lovely little italian restaurant on Great Western Road called Gambrino's. I would well recommend it - v cosy and intimate and always seems to be busy. But most important of all the foods yummy and its realy well priced,
